Cruising has been a big part of my own travel journey for many years. I’ve enjoyed over 20 cruises, travelling on everything from small river ships and classic ocean liners to mid-sized and mega ships. My cruising experiences span both affordable and luxury cruise lines, including Oceania, Viking, Hapag-Lloyd, Holland America Line, Princess, Avalon and Scenic to name a few, with destinations throughout Europe, Japan, Vietnam, Mexico, Alaska and closer to home.

When I haven’t cruised on a particular ship myself, I’ve often had the chance to step onboard for an inspection. This has given me a broad, first-hand understanding of different ships, styles of cruising and onboard experiences. It’s this depth of personal experience that shapes how I approach cruising — with an appreciation that every traveller enjoys something a little different.
